The Daniel Defense DD4 V7 SLW Rifle, No Magazine is the same semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle — 14.5" Lightweight profile barrel, 1:7 twist, mid-length gas on a low profile gas block, Daniel Defense DD4 13.5 M-LOK rail, Dead Air Xeno flash hider pinned and welded — built as the SKU Daniel Defense ships without a magazine.

That is the entire difference, and it exists for a practical reason. Several states cap magazine capacity, and a rifle packed with a standard-capacity magazine cannot lawfully be sent into them. Nothing about the rifle is downgraded: the barrel, gas system, rail and muzzle device are identical to the standard SKU.

The gun underneath is Daniel Defense’s light-handling carbine. A Lightweight profile barrel sheds steel ahead of the gas block, the 13.5-inch free-float M-LOK rail keeps balance back toward the receiver, and mid-length gas on a 14.5" tube gives a longer dwell and lower port pressure than a carbine system for a smoother impulse. The pinned and welded Xeno flash hider makes the barrel assembly permanently longer than 16 inches, so this is a rifle with no NFA paperwork attached.
