Savage Arms Gen2 Axis XP .30-06 Bolt-Action Rifle, 20″ Barrel

Product Description

The Savage Arms Gen2 Axis XP is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 with a 20″ barrel. It is a straightforward hunting rifle built around a cartridge that has been used on big game for a very long time.

The 20″ barrel keeps the rifle compact, which helps when you are moving through brush, climbing into a stand, or getting in and out of a truck. The matte black oxide finish gives it a flat, low-glare look. Capacity is 4+1 rounds, which is plenty for a day in the field or a session at the range.

Who it suits

This rifle fits hunters who want a bolt action in .30-06 without a lot of extras. It also suits someone building a first deer or elk rifle, or a shooter who wants a dependable truck or camp gun. Bolt actions are simple to run and easy to learn on.

The rifle has no sights fitted, so plan on pairing it with a scope, along with matching rings and a base. A sling, a bipod, a padded rifle case, and a basic cleaning kit round out the setup. Choose ammunition loaded for the game you hunt, and sight in at the distance you expect to shoot.
