The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I Sport B-Fast is a 20 gauge break-action shotgun with a 30″ barrel. It holds 2 rounds and has a 3″ chamber, so it takes the longer 20 gauge shells as well as standard loads.
The barrel carries a vented mid rib and a metal bead sight. The long barrel and rib give you a steady sight plane for target work and bird hunting alike. Overall length is 48″, and the finish is blue. Chokes are listed as OBF-HOP.
Stock and trigger
The stock is Grade 2 walnut in the B-Fast configuration. An extralight recoil pad sits at the back of it, which helps on days when you shoot a lot of shells. The trigger is a single selective inertia design. You use one trigger for both barrels and pick which one fires first.
This shotgun suits shooters who want a 20 gauge with a classic walnut-and-blue look. It works for a round of clays, a day in the field, or both. Because it is a break action, it is simple to open, load and check.
Good gear to pair with it includes 20 gauge target or field shells, a shell pouch or shooting vest, and a padded case for transport. Add hearing and eye protection for every outing. A basic cleaning kit rounds out the setup.
