HEVI-Shot HEVI-Hitter 20 Gauge 3″ 2 gr Tungsten Ammo, 25 Rounds

Product Description

The HEVI-Shot HEVI-Hitter is a 20 gauge 3-inch tungsten and steel shotshell, sold in a box of 25. It carries a 7/8 oz payload of #2 shot and is made for hunting ducks and geese.

What sets this load apart

The payload is split between two materials. Twenty percent is 12 g/cc tungsten, layered over 80 percent steel shot. HEVI-Shot built the blend to give a large, effective pattern on close and moderate targets. It also aims to keep the pellet count, power and density needed for birds at longer range. The load uses a HEVI-Shot wad, and the shot is nontoxic.

This shell suits waterfowl hunters who want the power of tungsten and the patterning of steel in one load. You need a 20 gauge shotgun with a chamber cut for 3-inch shells. If you hunt over decoys at close range one day and pass-shoot farther birds the next, a blended load like this covers both jobs.

Good gear to pair with it includes a 20 gauge waterfowl shotgun, a choke that fits the range you shoot, a shell bag or hunting vest, and hearing protection. Keep the part number HS29022 handy if you want to reorder the same load.
