Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed 6.8 Western Bolt-Action Rifle, 24″ Barrel, 036066299

Product Description

The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.8 Western with a 24″ fluted, free-floating barrel. The barrel has a 1:7.5″ twist rate. The rifle is 44″ long overall and holds 3+1 rounds, fed from a detachable rotary magazine.

The “Speed” name points to the short throw bolt. It lifts through 60 degrees, so your hand travels less when you cycle a round. The trigger is adjustable. The tang safety sits at your thumb, behind the bolt.

Built for a suppressor

The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a muzzle brake. A thread protector is part of the spec. The rifle is also listed as suppressor ready. Remove the brake and you can mount a suppressor with matching threads. The Vari-Tech stock and the Cerakote finish are both Flat Dark Earth, so the rifle looks the same from end to end.

This rifle suits hunters who want a modern 6.8 Western for deer, hogs, or longer shots in open country. It has no sights, so you will need a scope. The action is drilled and tapped for bases. Pair it with a good set of rings, a bipod or shooting sticks, a sling, and a suppressor if you want one. Match the optic to the ranges you plan to shoot.
