The Browning X-Bolt 2 Target Competition is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC with a 24″ barrel. The barrel is free floating and hand chambered, with a 1:8″ twist rate. The finish is matte black, and overall length is 44.75″.
This rifle is built with target work in mind. The barrel is threaded M13x0.75 and comes with a muzzle brake. The trigger is adjustable, so you can set it to suit your hand. The bolt has a short 60-degree lift, which keeps cycling quick and leaves more room around the scope. The safety is a tang style.
Stock and feeding
The Vari-Tech stock is the platform for the action and barrel. Ammunition feeds from a detachable rotary magazine, and one magazine is included. Capacity is 3+1 rounds.
This rifle has no sights, so you will need an optic. It is drilled and tapped, which means you can mount scope bases and rings. A good long-range scope, a bipod and a rear bag are the usual pairings for a rifle like this. The M13x0.75 threads also accept other muzzle devices that match that thread. Check the fit before you order.
It suits shooters who want a 7mm PRC for paper, steel or long-range practice and who plan to set it up with their own glass and support gear.
