Product Description

Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

The Daniel Defense MUTE30TI is DD’s MUTE-series 30-caliber titanium suppressor — an alternative geometry and configuration within DD’s 30-caliber suppressor lineup. Where the SoundGuard is DD’s flagship brand suppressor, the MUTE series represents DD’s refined follow-on design, incorporating engineering improvements derived from real-world use of the SoundGuard platform. Titanium construction makes the MUTE30TI one of the lighter 30-caliber options in DD’s catalog while maintaining the full-caliber rating for .300 BLK, 7.62 NATO, and .308 Winchester hosts. For DD firearm owners who want a factory-designed, factory-toleranced suppressor that represents DD’s current engineering standard, the MUTE30TI is the current-generation 30-caliber choice.

Daniel Defense SoundGuard Suppressor Technology

Daniel Defense engineered the SoundGuard line after years of building firearms that customers paired with third-party suppressors — and recognizing that a suppressor designed alongside a specific firearm platform outperforms one designed generically. SoundGuard suppressors are built with the same materials and tolerances that DD applies to its rifle barrels: milspec-qualified aluminum and titanium, precise machining, and corrosion-resistant finishes. The SoundGuard line covers Daniel Defense’s primary firearm calibers — 5.56 NATO, 6mm ARC, 300 BLK/7.62, and 9mm — so DD rifle, pistol, and SBR owners can run a factory-matched suppressor system.

FAQ — DD MUTE30TI

MUTE30TI vs. SoundGuard 30 Cal — what’s the difference?

Both are DD-manufactured titanium 30-caliber suppressors. The MUTE series is DD’s current-generation design incorporating refinements from SoundGuard field experience. For DD firearm owners selecting a new suppressor today, the MUTE30TI represents DD’s latest engineering iteration. Both are excellent suppressors — if you already own or prefer the SoundGuard mounting system, the SoundGuard 30 Cal TI remains in stock and supported.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

  • Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
  • Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
  • Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
