Allen Company ULTRX Tethered Tapered Foam Plug, NRR 32dB

Product Description

The Allen ULTRX foam ear plugs are corded tapered plugs rated at NRR 32dB protection. These yellow foam plugs provide reliable hearing defense for shooters, hunters, and recreational sport participants. Each pack includes five pairs tethered together for easy retrieval and placement.

Additionally, the tapered foam design ensures a comfortable fit in most ear canal sizes. Furthermore, the corded design keeps both plugs connected and prevents loss during active shooting sessions. The foam material conforms to your ear for a personalized seal with minimal pressure.

Key Features for Shooting Sports

These ULTRX plugs excel during range days, clay shooting, and hunting expeditions. Moreover, the NRR 32dB rating meets the noise reduction needs of high-decibel shooting environments. The tethered connection is particularly useful when you need to remove and reinsert plugs quickly between shooting rounds.

The bright yellow color makes these Allen foam plugs easy to spot and track. Therefore, you’ll spend less time searching for your hearing protection and more time focused on your sport. Additionally, the five-pair pack offers excellent value for regular shooters and clubs.

Comfort and Durability

Foam construction provides softness without sacrificing protection quality. In addition, corded plugs reduce the risk of dropping one plug during use. The Allen ULTRX design balances affordability with dependable hearing safety for competitive shooters and weekend hunters alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do the Allen ULTRX corded foam plugs fit all ear sizes?

A: The tapered foam design accommodates most adult ear canal sizes comfortably. However, fit varies by individual ear anatomy, so we recommend inserting and testing one pair before committing to regular use.

Q: What does NRR 32dB mean and is it enough for shooting?

A: NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) 32dB indicates these plugs reduce harmful noise by up to 32 decibels. This level provides solid protection for most shooting sports, though combined protection (plugs plus earmuffs) is recommended for high-powered rifle ranges.

Q: Can I use these Allen plugs in Texas without any registration or permits?

A: Yes, hearing protection devices like foam earplugs are completely legal and unrestricted in Texas. You can purchase and use them freely at ranges, hunting areas, and shooting sports events.

Q: Are the Allen ULTRX plugs best for range shooting or hunting?

A: These corded foam plugs work well for both range days and hunting trips. The tethered design is especially convenient at ranges where you remove and reinsert plugs between strings, while hunters appreciate the secure connection that prevents loss in field conditions.
