The American Tactical GSG-16 Carbine is a .22 LR semi-auto rifle with a 16.28″ barrel, finished in Flat Dark Earth. Overall length is 28.56″, so it handles like a compact carbine. It feeds from a single stack magazine and holds 22+1 rounds.
The look is tactical, and the muzzle carries a faux suppressor. The stock is adjustable, so you can set the length of pull to fit different shooters. It also has a holder for an extra magazine, which helps on long range sessions. The ambidextrous thumb safety and ambidextrous charging handle make it easy to run from either shoulder.
Sights and optics
The rifle comes with post and peep sights, so you can shoot it as it is. An integral Picatinny optic mount with 0 MOA sits on top, and there is a Picatinny rail for accessories. A red dot or a small scope fits that mount without extra adapters.
This carbine suits plinkers, new shooters learning rifle basics, and owners who want a rimfire trainer that looks like a centerfire carbine. Good gear to pair with it includes a red dot or low-power scope, extra magazines, a sling, a range bag, and eye and ear protection. Stock up on .22 LR ammo, since you will go through plenty of it.
