Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed
The Angstadt UDP-9 SBR w/Rusted Multi-Cam Cerakote is a short-barreled rifle from Angstadt Arms chambered in 9mm and finished with a Rusted Multi-Cam Cerakote pattern.
This is an NFA-regulated firearm. An approved ATF Form 4 is required before you take possession; see our NFA wait times guide for current approval times.
The UDP-9 platform is built around the 9mm cartridge, offering reduced recoil and cost-effective training compared to rifle-caliber platforms. The SBR configuration provides maneuverability in confined spaces while remaining a legal firearm under federal law once the tax stamp is approved.

Understanding the UDP-9 Platform
The UDP-9 is Angstadt Arms’ take on a pistol-caliber carbine. The 9mm chambering allows shooters to use common handgun ammunition, which is typically less expensive than centerfire rifle rounds. Recoil is mild, making follow-up shots fast and manageable.
Because this is registered as a short-barreled rifle, it may be shouldered and equipped with a vertical foregrip without creating an NFA violation. You get the handling of a compact platform with the legal standing of a rifle.
Rusted Multi-Cam Cerakote Finish
Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that resists abrasion, chemicals, and corrosion better than traditional finishes. The Rusted Multi-Cam pattern blends earth tones and muted colors, suited to environments where foliage and terrain vary.
The finish is baked on at high temperature. It will not wear off as quickly as anodizing or paint, and it provides a non-reflective surface useful in low-light settings or when concealment matters.
