Auto Ordnance 1911 STS .45ACP Pistol, 5″ Barrel, Cerakote, 7-Round

Product Description

The Auto Ordnance 1911 STS is a semi-auto .45ACP pistol with a 5″ barrel and a 7-round capacity. It has a stainless steel frame and a slide finished in stainless and Cerakote. Overall length is 8.60″, and the pistol weighs 39 oz.

Night sights are the feature that sets this one apart. They give you a visible sight picture when the light is poor, which matters for home defense and for low-light practice. The pistol also has a manual safety, so you control when it is ready to fire.

Who it suits

This pistol suits shooters who like the feel of a full-size .45 and want night sights without adding them later. The 5″ barrel gives a longer sight radius than a shorter pistol would. The 39 oz weight is on the heavier side, and many shooters find that helps keep recoil manageable at the range.

For gear, start with a holster made for a 5″ barrel pistol and extra 7-round magazines that match the caliber. A good supply of .45ACP range ammunition, a cleaning kit and a lockable case or safe round out the setup. If you plan to carry, add a sturdy gun belt.
