They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed

The B&T USA Impuls-9-M is a modular 9mm suppressor made of titanium with a gray anodized finish. It runs 7.5″ long in the long setup or 6.1″ in the short setup, with a 1.3″ diameter.

It is for owners of 9mm pistols and carbines who want one suppressor they can set up two ways. Run it short on a handgun or long on a carbine for more sound reduction.

Modular length and mount

The long setup weighs 8.1 oz and the short setup weighs 6.7 oz. It mounts by direct thread on a 1/2×28 barrel, and a 1/2×28 booster is included for pistols with a tilting barrel. Titanium keeps the weight down.

You will need a 9mm host with a 1/2×28 threaded barrel. A thread protector keeps the threads clean when the suppressor is off, and quality 9mm ammunition rounds out the setup.

Since October 9, 2026, suppressors transfer on a regular ATF Form 4473 with a NICS background check at your FFL, with no Form 4 and no tax stamp. Check your state and local laws before you order.

Buying a suppressor now: a Form 4473 and a background check. No Form 4.

Since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints, photos or registration to buy a suppressor. It transfers like any other firearm: you fill out a Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and it is yours. No months-long wait.

Texas buyers: suppressors are legal under Texas law. Western Sport has been an SOT / Class III dealer since 2007.
Outside Texas: we ship to an SOT dealer in your state, who completes the 4473 with you. Your state’s law still decides — some states ban suppressors, and some only allow ones registered with ATF.
Want it registered anyway? ATF still accepts a voluntary Form 4. Ask us.
