The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus is a 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with a 26″ barrel and a 3.5″ chamber. It holds 3+1 rounds and measures 49.6″ overall. The barrel is Beretta’s Optima Bore Steelium Plus.
This model wears an OD Green Cerakote finish and an ODG synthetic Kick-Off Mega stock. The sights are a red fiber optic up front with a mid-bead. The gun is also drilled and tapped, so you have a starting point if you want to add an optic or other accessory.
Choke options
The chokes listed for this shotgun are Extended Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. That range lets you change the pattern for the day. Open chokes suit close birds and clays. Tighter ones suit longer shots.
The 3.5″ chamber means the gun is built for the longer 12 gauge shells as well as shorter loads. A semi-auto action is a good fit for hunters who want quick follow-up shots in the field or the blind.
For gear, think about a sling, a padded case, and a spare choke tube wrench. Add a shell holder or ammo pouch for the field, and a cleaning kit sized for 12 gauge. If you plan to mount an optic, pick a mount made for your drilled and tapped setup and check its fit first.
