The Bergara HMR Pro is a .22-250 Rem bolt-action rifle with a 24″ barrel. The barrel is a 5.5 profile with a 1:9″ twist, and Bergara backs it with a SUB-MOA guarantee. The finish is matte gray, and the overall length is 43.5″.
The stock is the HMR molded design with a mini-chassis. It has an adjustable cheek piece, so you can set your eye height to match the optic you mount. Feeding comes from an AICS-style detachable box magazine that holds 5+1 rounds. The action uses an internal hammer firing system and a 2 position safety. The trigger is a TriggerTech.
Built for suppressors and optics
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, and the rifle is suppressor ready. A suppressor, brake or other muzzle device with that thread pitch will fit. The rifle has no sights, but it is drilled and tapped, so plan on adding a base and rings for a scope.
This rifle suits shooters who want accuracy from a fast .22-caliber cartridge. That includes varmint hunters and anyone building a precision rig at the range. Good companions are a quality scope, a bipod, a rear bag and spare AICS-style magazines. Add a suppressor if you want to cut down muzzle noise on longer sessions.
