Can I swap parts with my Remington 700, or upgrade the stock and trigger later?

Yes. The B-14 action is built on a Remington 700 footprint, meaning it accepts all Remington 700 pattern stocks, chassis, triggers, and scope mounts. The trigger is already excellent out of the box (and adjustable), but if you ever want to upgrade, drop in a Timney, Triggertech, or any other 700-pattern trigger. The same goes for stocks and chassis—the aftermarket support is nearly unlimited. That said, the walnut stock and Bergara Performance Trigger are hard to beat for a classic rifle.

Is the American walnut stock durable in the field?

American walnut is tougher than many assume. It’s been the standard for hunting rifles for over a century because it handles recoil, holds zero, and only gets more beautiful with age and use. The stock is finished to resist moisture, but like any wood, it benefits from occasional care—a light oil or stock finish keeps it protected. What ammunition should I use to verify the sub-MOA guarantee?

Bergara’s sub-MOA guarantee assumes quality factory ammunition—Federal Premium, Hornady Match, Nosler Trophy Grade, or similar. Premium match-grade loads will often shoot tighter than 1 MOA; commercial hunting loads should also meet the guarantee, but precision is always better with consistent, quality ammunition. If you handload, even better—the rifle will only get more accurate with precision reloads and your preferred bullet and powder combo.

Does the 22″ barrel affect velocity or ballistics compared to longer barrels?

A 22″ barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor typically produces around 2,700–2,750 fps with quality loads, compared to 2,800+ fps from a 24″ barrel.
