Browning AB3 .30-06 Bolt-Action Rifle, 22″ Barrel, BLUED

Product Description

The Browning AB3 is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 with a 22″ barrel. It holds 4 rounds and comes in a blued finish. The stock is synthetic, which suits a rifle meant to be carried outdoors.

The barrel has a 1:10″ twist rate. That is a common rate for the .30-06, and it fits the range of bullet weights hunters usually load for this cartridge. The 22″ length keeps the rifle handier in a blind, a truck, or thick cover than a longer barrel would.

Who it suits

This rifle fits hunters who want a straightforward bolt gun without extras. The .30-06 has a long record on big game, and factory ammunition is easy to find in many bullet styles. That makes it a sensible choice for a first deer rifle or a second rifle for a different kind of hunt.

Most hunters will want to add a scope. Pick rings and bases that match this model, and check the fit before you mount anything. A sling, a padded rifle case, and a bipod or shooting sticks round out the kit. Bring a good set of hearing protection and a box of ammunition to the range to sight in before the season.
