Browning BAR MK 4 Medallion is a gas-operated semi-auto rifle chambered in .243 Winchester with a 22″ fluted barrel. It holds 4 rounds. The Medallion trim is about looks as much as function, and it shows.
What sets it apart
The stock is Grade III Turkish walnut with an oil finish. The receiver is nickel with engraving, and the barrel is polished and fluted. Together they give the rifle a classic, dressed-up look.
Under the wood and metal, the action runs on a gas piston. A rotating bolt locks into the barrel. The connection between the action bar and the inertia block is built to cut barrel vibration, which supports accuracy.
This rifle suits hunters who want a fast second shot from a semi-auto and still like walnut and engraved metal. It also fits anyone who wants a nice-looking .243 Winchester for the safe and the field.
Plan on a riflescope with mounts made for this rifle, a sling, and a padded case. A cleaning kit is worth having for a gas-operated rifle. Pick .243 Winchester ammunition and test a few loads at the bench to see what it prefers.
