Browning BAR MK 4 Medallion is a semi-auto rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a 22″ fluted barrel. It holds 4 rounds and uses a gas-operated action, so it cycles itself after each shot.
What sets the Medallion apart
This model is the dressed-up version of the BAR line. The receiver has a nickel finish with engraving, and it sits against a Grade III Turkish walnut stock with an oil finish. The barrel is polished and fluted. Inside, a rotating bolt locks into the barrel. Browning says the action bar and inertia block connection helps cut barrel vibration, which supports accuracy.
The look is traditional. Silver metal and figured walnut give it more character than a matte synthetic rifle. If you like a rifle that looks as good in the cabinet as it does in the field, this is the idea behind it.
It fits hunters who want a quick follow-up shot in a proven big-game cartridge. It also suits collectors and anyone who appreciates engraving and real wood.
For gear, think about a scope with matching mounts, a good sling, and a padded case to protect the walnut and nickel. Add .30-06 ammunition for your intended game and a cleaning kit for a gas-operated rifle. Have a gunsmith confirm mount fit before you set up optics.
