The Browning Maxus II Sport Carbon Fiber is a 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with a 28″ barrel. It runs on a gas piston system and feeds from a tubular magazine that holds 3+1 rounds. The chamber is 3″.
The look is the first thing you notice. The barrel and the composite stock both have a carbon fiber dip finish. Browning also overmolds the stock and forend. The trigger is gold plated, and the chamber and bore are chrome plated. A Vector Pro forcing cone is built into the barrel.
Choke tubes and sights
The shotgun comes set up for different targets and ranges, with five Inv+ Midas choke tubes: SK, IC, Mod, IM and F. That range lets you change the pattern for close clays, longer targets or field work. A fiber optic sight sits on the barrel. Overall length is 49.125″.
This model fits a shooter who wants a gas-operated semi-auto for sporting clays, skeet, trap or a day afield. It also suits anyone who likes the carbon fiber styling.
Good companions include a hard or soft shotgun case, a shell bag or pouch, and a cleaning kit for the chrome-plated bore. Add hearing and eye protection, and carry spare choke tubes in a small case so you can switch them quickly between stations.
