The Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC with a 24″ sporter barrel. It is built for hunters who carry a rifle a long way and want a clean, modern setup.
The stock is Smoked Bronze carbon fiber, and the barrel and action wear Cerakote finishes in matching bronze tones. Both the barrel and the bolt are spiral fluted. The barrel has a 1:8″ twist and is threaded 5/8×24. A Recoil Hawg muzzle brake is fitted. The rifle is also listed as suppressor ready, so the threads give you options at the muzzle.
Features at the Action
The trigger is adjustable, and the safety is a tang-mounted switch. Ammunition feeds from a detachable rotary magazine. One magazine is included, and the rifle holds 3+1 rounds. Overall length is 44.75″.
This rifle has no sights, so plan on an optic. The receiver has a Picatinny rail and is drilled and tapped. A good scope, matching rings and a sturdy sling or bipod are the usual starting points for a rifle like this. If you plan to run a suppressor, you will want one rated for the caliber and the thread size.
