The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Win with a 22″ fluted, free-floating barrel. The barrel has a 1:10″ twist and a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle. The rifle is 42″ long overall and wears a Tungsten Cerakote finish.
The fit is where this rifle stands out. The Vari-Tech stock comes with 2 grip modules, and you can adjust the length of pull, the comb and the grip angle. That lets you set the rifle up for your frame and your shooting position. The DLX adjustable trigger lets you tune the pull, and the bolt cycles smoothly. A tang safety sits within easy reach of your thumb.
Setup and Use
This rifle has no sights, so plan on adding an optic. It is drilled and tapped for scope bases, so pick a base and rings to match your scope. The detachable box magazine holds 4+1 rounds, which suits deer and other big game hunts as well as steel and paper at the range.
The threaded muzzle takes 5/8×24 accessories, such as a muzzle brake or a suppressor mount where legal. Other gear that pairs well includes a sling, a bipod, a spare magazine and a cleaning kit. Add a good rifle case for transport. Choose your ammunition for the job, and test a few loads to see what this barrel likes best.
