The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC, built around a 24″ fluted, free-floating barrel with a 1:8″ twist. It wears a Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish and measures 44.75″ overall.
The Vari-Tech stock is the main difference you will notice. It comes with two grip modules, and the length of pull, comb height and grip angle all adjust. That lets you set the rifle to your frame instead of living with a fixed stock. The trigger is a multi-lever DLX design that is adjustable, and the bolt is described as smooth in operation. The safety is a tang safety.
Muzzle and Magazine
The barrel has a target crown and a muzzle brake, and it is threaded. Ammunition feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 3+1 rounds. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so you can add a mount for an optic.
This rifle has no sights, so plan on a scope. Pick a quality set of rings and a base made for the drilled and tapped receiver. A bipod, a sling and a hard case are the usual add-ons for a hunting rifle in this class. If you shoot long distances, a rangefinder and a good rest will help too. It suits hunters who want a flat-shooting magnum cartridge and a stock they can tune to fit.
