The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed OVX is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 22″ fluted, free-floating barrel. The barrel has a 1:8″ twist and a target crown. It is threaded, and it has a muzzle brake. Overall length is 42″.
The fit is where this rifle stands out. The Vari-Tech stock comes with 2 grip modules, and the length of pull, comb height and grip angle all adjust. The DLX trigger is a multi-lever design that you can adjust too. Tang safety, smooth bolt action and a detachable rotary magazine that holds 4+1 rounds round out the controls. The Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish covers the metal.
Who it suits
This rifle suits a hunter who wants a flat-shooting caliber and a rifle that can be set up for their own build. It also fits a shooter getting into long-range work who wants to tune the stock and trigger without swapping parts.
It has no sights, so you will need to mount an optic. The receiver is drilled and tapped for that. A scope with matching rings and bases is the first thing to add. A bipod and a sling are common next picks for field and range use. If you plan to run a suppressor or other muzzle device on the threaded barrel, choose it to suit your use.
