The Browning X-Bolt 2 Target Competition is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC. It has a 24″ free-floating, hand-chambered barrel with a 1:7″ twist, and the whole rifle measures 44″ overall.
The barrel is threaded M13x.75, and a muzzle brake in the same thread size is fitted. That gives you a ready muzzle device, and you can swap it if you want to run something else. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope base. The trigger is adjustable, and the bolt has a short 60-degree lift. The Vari-Tech stock and matte black finish round out the build.
Who it suits
This rifle fits shooters who work at distance: precision match shooters, long-range hobbyists and anyone building a rifle around the 6.5 PRC cartridge. Magazine capacity is 3+1 rounds, fed from a detachable rotary magazine. One magazine is included. The safety is a tang safety.
The rifle has no sights, so plan on adding an optic. A quality scope, a matching base and rings, and a bipod or rear bag are the usual pairings. If you plan to use a suppressor or other muzzle device, the M13x.75 threads are already there. Add match-grade 6.5 PRC ammunition to suit your range work.
