The Browning X-Bolt 2 Target Competition is a bolt-action rifle in 6.8 Western with a 24″ barrel. The barrel is free floating and hand chambered, and it has a 1:7.5″ twist. It holds 3+1 rounds and feeds from a detachable rotary magazine.
What is different about it
This rifle is built for the range as much as the field. The barrel is threaded M13x0.75 and carries a muzzle brake in that same thread. The trigger is adjustable, and the bolt has a short-throw 60 degree lift, so cycling is quick and the hand stays close to the stock. The safety sits on the tang. The Vari-Tech stock and matte black finish give it a plain, practical look, and overall length is 44″.
It comes without sights, so you will need an optic. The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting one. Pick a scope, bases and rings that match your shooting distance, and add a bipod or rear bag if you shoot from a bench or prone.
