The Browning X-Bolt 2 Target Competition Heavy Barrel is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. It has a 26″ free-floating, hand-chambered barrel with a 1:9.5″ twist rate. Overall length is 46.75″.
This model is built for precision work at distance. The heavy barrel is threaded M13x.75, and the muzzle carries a brake that uses the same thread. The trigger is adjustable, so you can set it to suit your hands. The bolt has a short 60-degree lift, which gives you more room around the scope and less hand movement between shots. A tang safety sits within easy reach of your thumb.
Stock and magazine
The Vari-Tech stock is finished in two-tone black and gray. Feeding comes from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 3+1 rounds. The rifle is drilled and tapped, and it has no sights, so you choose the optic that fits your shooting.
It fits the long-range target shooter, the steel-plate shooter, and the hunter who takes longer shots at big game. Pair it with a quality scope, a set of rings and bases made for a drilled-and-tapped receiver, and a bipod or rear bag for steady support. If you plan to run a different muzzle device, the M13x.75 threads give you that option.
