The Browning X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter Long Range is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm Rem Mag with a 26″ barrel. The barrel is free floating and has a 1:8″ twist. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and comes with a thread protector, so it is suppressor ready.
This rifle is set up for field use. The Vari-Tech stock wears an OVIX Camo pattern and has an adjustable comb, so you can raise or lower it to fit your cheek weld behind a scope. The bolt handle is extended, which gives you more to grab when you cycle the action. The trigger is adjustable, and the safety sits on the tang. The finish is matte blue, and overall length is 46.75″.
Who it suits
The 7mm Rem Mag is a common choice for elk, mule deer and other big game, and this rifle is aimed at hunters who plan to take longer shots. It feeds from a detachable box magazine that holds 5+1 rounds, and one magazine is included.
There are no sights, so plan on a scope. The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting. Pair it with a quality set of rings and bases, a bipod or shooting sticks, a sling, and a suppressor if you want to use the threaded muzzle. Match your ammunition to the 1:8″ twist and sight in at the range before your hunt.
