The Browning X-Bolt Hunter is a left-handed bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Sprg with a 22″ barrel. It holds 4+1 rounds and feeds from a detachable rotary magazine. Overall length is 42.75″.
The barrel is free floating and hand chambered, with a 1:10″ twist and a target crown at the muzzle. The finish is low luster blued, which keeps glare down in the field. The stock is satin-finish checkered walnut, so you get a solid grip in wet or cold conditions.
What sets it apart
The bolt has a short 60-degree lift, which gives more room between the handle and your scope. The trigger is the adjustable DLX type. The safety is on the tang. This rifle is built for left-handed shooters.
It comes with no sights, so plan on adding an optic. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle uses the X-Lock mounting system for scope bases. A good set of rings, a scope matched to your range, and a sling will round it out. Add a hard or soft case for travel, plus a box of .30-06 ammunition to sight it in.
If you hunt and shoot left-handed and want a classic walnut-and-blued rifle in a familiar chambering, the X-Bolt Hunter is worth a close look.
