The Browning X-Bolt Pro Fluted is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.8 Western, built around a 24″ sporter barrel with a 1:7.5″ twist. The barrel wears a Carbon Gray Elite Cerakote finish, and the carbon fiber stock carries a matching Carbon Gray Cerakote color. Overall length is 44″.
What sets it apart
The bolt is spiral fluted. The trigger is Browning’s Feather Trigger, and the safety sits on the tang. Ammunition feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 3+1 rounds. The barrel is threaded and comes with a thread protector, and a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake is part of the design. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the rifle has no sights.
This rifle fits hunters and long-range shooters who want a modern chambering and a carbon fiber stock. Because it has no sights, you will need to add an optic before you head to the field or range.
For gear, start with a scope plus rings and bases that match the drilled and tapped receiver. A bipod and a sling are useful for carrying and for shooting from a rest. Pick up 6.8 Western ammunition and a cleaning kit sized for that caliber. If you plan to change the muzzle device, make sure the new one fits the barrel threads.
