The Browning XB2 Micro is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC, built around a 22″ sporter-contour barrel. The barrel has a 1:7″ twist and a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle. Overall length is 41.25″, and the finish is matte blue.
A few features set this rifle apart. The Vari-Tech synthetic stock is adjustable, so you can change the fit to suit the shooter. The DLX trigger is adjustable too. Ammunition feeds from a detachable box magazine that holds 4+1 rounds, and the safety sits on the tang.
Who it suits
This rifle fits hunters who want a 6.5 PRC for deer-sized game and longer shots. It also works for shooters building a precision-minded rifle on a sporter-weight barrel. The adjustable stock helps when the rifle is shared between people or used with different clothing layers.
It has no sights, so plan on an optic. The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting one. Pick a scope suited to the distances you shoot, then add bases and rings that match the receiver. The threaded muzzle takes 5/8×24 accessories such as a muzzle brake or a suppressor. A sling and a bipod are common additions for field use. Check your local rules before adding a suppressor.
