CCI Ammunition Quiet-22, 22 Long Rifle, 40 Grain, Lead Round Nose, 50 Round Box

Product Description

CCI Quiet-22 turns an ordinary 22 rifle into one of the quietest guns at the range. CCI loads a 40-grain lead round nose bullet to just 710 feet per second, which CCI rates at about 75 percent less perceived noise than standard velocity 22 Long Rifle ammunition. It is a smart pick for backyard plinking, shooting near neighbors or livestock, and teaching a new shooter who is nervous about the bang.

Why shooters choose Quiet-22

• Much quieter report. The bullet stays well below the speed of sound, so there is no supersonic crack.
• Accurate at practical distances. CCI built it for target shooting, and it groups well out of bolt-action and single-shot rifles.
• Gentle on new shooters. Low noise and almost no recoil help beginners and kids build good habits.
• Dependable CCI priming. The same rimfire priming CCI is known for across its whole 22 line.

Best firearms for this load

Quiet-22 is made for bolt-action and single-shot 22 LR rifles. It can be fired in semi-automatic firearms, but because the load is so mild the action may not cycle, so plan on working the action by hand. CCI also says not to use it in barrels longer than 24 inches. If you want a quiet load that does cycle a semi-auto, ask us about Quiet-22 Semi-Auto.
