Cimarron 1866 Short Yellowboy .45 Colt Lever-Action Rifle, 20″ Barrel

Product Description

The Cimarron 1866 Short Yellowboy is a lever-action rifle in .45 Colt with a 20″ octagon barrel. It is built by Uberti in Italy and holds 10+1 rounds. The action is operated by the lever and fires from an external hammer, so you cock it by thumb the way you would on a classic Western rifle.

The look is the main draw. The finish is brass, and it sits against a straight walnut stock. The octagon barrel has a 1:16″ twist. Sights are dovetail blade sights, and they are adjustable, so you can tune the point of impact for your load.

Size and handling

Overall length is 38.5″ and length of pull is 13.25″. The 20″ barrel keeps the rifle shorter than a full-length rifle, which makes it easy to work through a lever-action stage or carry on a walk to the firing line.

This rifle suits cowboy action competitors, fans of Old West guns, and anyone who wants a .45 Colt rifle that matches a revolver in the same chambering. Good gear to pair with it includes a leather cartridge belt, a rifle scabbard or soft case, a cleaning rod with bore brushes in the right size, and eye and ear protection for the range.
