Cimarron Frontier Pre-War .357 Mag Revolver, 7.5″ Barrel, 6-Round

Product Description

The Cimarron Frontier Pre-War is a single-action .357 Mag revolver with a 7.5″ barrel. It holds six rounds and uses an external hammer, so you cock it by hand before each shot. Pietta in Italy makes it.

The frame is steel and carries a color case hardened finish. The one-piece grip is walnut. The sights are fixed, with a blade up front, so there is nothing to adjust and nothing to knock out of zero. The barrel has a 1:18.75″ twist rate. The revolver weighs 37.28 oz, and a lot of that weight sits in the long barrel.

Who it suits

This revolver fits shooters who like the look and handling of old-style single actions. The longer barrel gives a longer sight radius than a short-barreled revolver. The slower, deliberate manual cocking also suits shooters who enjoy a measured pace at the range.

For gear, plan on a holster cut for a long-barreled single action and a gun belt that carries the weight. Pick up .357 Mag ammunition, plus hearing and eye protection for the range. A basic cleaning kit with a bore brush and rod helps keep the steel frame and barrel in good shape. A padded case works for transport.
