Colt’s Manufacturing Enhanced Patrol Rifle, Gen II PRO, 223 Remington/5.56 NATO, 16.1″ Threaded Barrel, Black

Product Description

The Colt’s Manufacturing Enhanced Patrol Rifle Gen II PRO is a semi-automatic AR rifle in .223 Remington/5.56 NATO with a 16.1″ threaded barrel. It is the next step in Colt’s Enhanced Patrol Rifle series, and it is aimed at law enforcement-style use.

What sets it apart

The upper receiver is an M4 forging marked with the Cage Code, paired with a law enforcement market lower. The handguard is full length and uses M-LOK, with slots in 7 orientations and two steel reinforced QD sling attachment points. Magpul parts round it out: the MOE SL stock, the K2 pistol grip, the enhanced trigger guard, and MBUS flip sights front and rear. The safety and magazine release are ambidextrous, so left-handed and right-handed shooters run the same rifle.

The barrel has a 1:7″ twist and 1/2×28 threads at the muzzle. That thread pitch is the standard for many AR muzzle devices, so you can fit a brake, compensator, or flash hider to suit your setup. The finish is black anodized, and the magazine holds 30 rounds.

This rifle suits patrol-style shooters, range users, and anyone building a general-purpose carbine on a proven platform. For gear, think about a two-point or single-point sling on the QD points, a light or vertical grip on the M-LOK slots, and a red dot or magnified optic to use with or in place of the flip sights. Extra 30-round magazines are an easy add.
