The Crkt M16-10XD Tanto Serrated is a folding knife with a 3.05-inch tanto blade made from 8Cr14MoV steel. It is model M16-10XK in the M16-10 series. The blade is 0.1″ thick and carries a titanium nitride finish. Open, the knife measures 7.06″, and it folds down to 4.01″. It weighs 2.1 oz.

The edge is partially serrated. Crkt uses Veff serrations here, so you get a section for slicing rope, strap and fibrous material along with a plain section for general cutting. The tanto shape gives a strong, squared-off point that suits piercing and scraping work. The blade opens with a thumb stud, and the pivot uses an IKBS ball bearing system for smooth deployment.

Handle and lock

The handle is stainless steel in black. A crossbar lock holds the blade open while you work. The knife is made in China.

This folder fits everyday carry, truck and tool bag duty, and camp or range chores.
