The Daniel Defense 0.750 in Front Sight Base is an AR-15/M16 front sight base for .750 diameter barrels, supplied without a bayonet lug, weighing 4.25 oz – and it is the base alone: no sight post, no detent, no spring.

Read that last part twice, because it is the difference between a satisfying order and a return. This part number covers the front sight base casting itself. Put calipers on the barrel where the sight base will sit. If it reads .750, this is your base. If it reads .625 or .936, it is not, and no amount of persuasion will change that. Because the base is pinned or screwed to the barrel rather than clamped, the machining has to be square to the bore or your front sight will never align with a rear sight.
