Daniel Defense DD5 V3 in 7.62 NATO, 16″ cold hammer forged S2W barrel, adjustable gas block and DD5 Rail 15.0 M-LOK, supplied without a magazine. Accepts SR-25 magazines.
The Daniel Defense DD5 V3 Rifle, part number 02-157-07258-067, is a semi-automatic 7.62x51mm NATO / .308 Winchester rifle with a 16″ cold hammer forged S2W barrel, a user-adjustable gas block and the DD5 Rail 15.0 M-LOK, supplied without a magazine.
Daniel Defense assigns this separate part number because magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities; the rifle is supplied without a magazine and a compliant one is added where it is delivered. If no capacity limit applies to you, order the standard DD5 V3 instead.
Gas System: Intermediate, direct impingement, user-adjustable gas block
Rail: Daniel Defense DD5 Rail 15.0 with M-LOK attachment
Muzzle Device: Daniel Defense Superior Suppression Device, 5/8 x 24 TPI
Weight: 8.3 lbs
Magazine Compatibility: Accepts SR-25 pattern magazines; none supplied with this part number
Magazines for the DD5 V3, and your local rules
The DD5 V3 accepts SR-25 pattern magazines, so options are widely available — but capacity limits are set by your state and sometimes your locality and they change, so confirm yours before ordering. Not legal advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is the DD5 V3 offered without a magazine?
A: Because magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities. Daniel Defense builds a no-magazine part number so the rifle can ship into those areas, and the dealer handling delivery supplies a magazine at a capacity the destination currently permits.
Q: What magazines does the DD5 V3 take?
A: It accepts SR-25 pattern magazines, which are widely available in several capacities.
Q: What is the adjustable gas block for?
A: It lets you tune the gas setting so the rifle has a consistent feel whether you shoot it suppressed or unsuppressed. That is one of the main reasons buyers choose the DD5 over a fixed-gas 7.62 build, particularly if a suppressor is in the plan.
Q: What is the muzzle thread pitch on the DD5 V3?
A: 5/8 x 24 TPI, under the Daniel Defense Superior Suppression Device, which is the standard thread pitch for .30 calibre rifles. That makes most 7.62 muzzle devices and direct-thread suppressor mounts a straightforward fit. Send us a message to discuss specifics.
Q: What does the 4-Bolt Connection System do?
A: It secures the handguard to the upper receiver without a barrel nut, increasing the connection surface area between the two for greater rigidity and stability. Daniel Defense uses it across the DD5 platform, and it is a large part of the rifle’s accuracy claim.
Q: Does a 7.62 rifle transfer differently from a 5.56?
A: No. Calibre makes no difference: this is a rifle, so it must be transferred through a licensed FFL.
