The Daniel Defense DDM4 MK12 Rifle, part number 02-142-13175-067, is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle on the AR-15 platform, supplied by Daniel Defense without a magazine.
Daniel Defense assigns the no-magazine build a separate part number because magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities. The rifle ships on its own and a magazine that meets the local limit is supplied where it is delivered. Buyers who are not working around a capacity limit should order the standard DDM4 MK12 instead.

Magazine rules and configuration checks
Two things to settle before ordering: the capacity your own state and locality currently allow, which changes and is yours to verify, and the exact build of this SKU. This is not legal advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does this MK12 ship without a magazine?
A: Because magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities, and Daniel Defense builds a dedicated part number that omits the magazine.
Q: Is the rifle itself changed in any way?
A: No. The no-magazine part number is the same rifle built the same way; the difference is simply that no magazine is supplied with it. If you do not need that configuration, the standard MK12 listing is the one to order.
Q: Can you confirm the barrel length and twist rate?
We would rather check that with you than publish a figure that turns out to belong to a different MK12 build.
Q: What magazine will I need for the MK12?
A: One sourced separately, since none comes with this SKU.
Q: Does this rifle require an FFL transfer?
A: Yes. It is a serialised rifle and federal law requires the transfer to be completed by a licensed FFL.
