The DD MK12 556NATO 18″ 32RD BLK is a precision-focused rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy at medium to long range. Daniel Defense engineered this rifle for tactical professionals and serious sport shooters. Every Daniel Defense firearm is hand assembled, quality assured, and test fired before shipping to you.
The 18-inch stainless steel heavy-contour barrel delivers extra muzzle velocity compared to standard 16-inch carbines. This means flatter trajectories and retained energy downrange. The .223 Wylde chamber accepts both 5.56 NATO and match-grade .223 Remington ammunition with superior precision.
The MFR 15.0 M-LOK free-float handguard isolates your barrel completely. Additionally, this design prevents accessory pressure from shifting your zero. The result is consistent accuracy across all shooting positions and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What ammunition works best in the .223 Wylde chamber?
A: The .223 Wylde chamber shoots both 5.56 NATO and match-grade .223 Remington. However, .223 Remington delivers superior accuracy due to tighter tolerances. For precision work, use quality match-grade .223 ammunition whenever possible.
Q: Can I mount standard AR-15 optics and accessories?
A: Yes, the MFR 15.0 M-LOK handguard accepts any M-LOK compatible accessories. Additionally, the rifle features standard Picatinny rails for optic mounting. You can upgrade with lights, grips, and other tactical gear instantly.
Q: How does the MK12 compare to other Daniel Defense MK12 variants?
A: This configuration features the proven 18-inch barrel for extended range capability. Therefore, it excels at medium to long-distance precision shooting. Compare specifications and handguard options to find your ideal setup.
Q: What comes included, and what’s your warranty coverage?
A: Your rifle ships fully assembled and ready to shoot with proper setup. Daniel Defense backs every rifle with a lifetime warranty against defects. Western Sport handles all warranty claims and can answer specific questions about included components.
Q: What is the M-LOK handguard on this rifle?
A: Daniel Defense’s free-float M-LOK handguard lets you attach lights, lasers, and grips directly to the rail using the M-LOK slot system — no separate rail sections required. Additionally, the handguard floats independently of the barrel, so attachments don’t shift your zero. A continuous top rail provides a stable mounting surface for optics.
