A: Magazine capacity is restricted in a number of jurisdictions, so Daniel Defense builds a separate no-magazine SKU that can ship into them.
Q: What capacity magazine can I use?
A: That depends entirely on where you live, not on the rifle, and the rules change.
Q: What thread pitch is under the flash suppressor?
A: 1/2 x 28 TPI, beneath the Daniel Defense flash suppressor, which is the usual 5.56 thread pitch. That makes swapping to another muzzle device or a direct-thread suppressor mount straightforward.
Q: Is the 16″ barrel long enough to avoid NFA paperwork?
A: Yes. A 16-inch barrel on a rifle stock puts this outside short-barrelled rifle territory, so no tax stamp is needed. It remains a rifle for transfer purposes and must go through a licensed FFL.
