The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 SLW Rifle, part number 02-128-15049-067, is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle with a 14.5″ cold hammer forged Lightweight profile barrel, a pinned and welded extended flash suppressor and the free floating MFR 13.5 M-LOK rail, supplied without a magazine.
The no-magazine part number is there because magazine capacity is restricted in a number of states and localities; leaving the magazine out lets the rifle ship, and a compliant magazine is fitted at the delivery end. If that does not apply where you are, the standard V7 SLW is the same rifle in its standard magazine configuration.

Q: Why is this V7 SLW listed without a magazine?
A: Daniel Defense builds a dedicated no-magazine part number so the rifle can be supplied into states and localities that restrict magazine capacity. The rifle itself is unchanged; a magazine meeting the local limit is provided at the delivery end rather than shipped with it.
Q: Is the 14.5″ barrel an NFA issue?
A: No. The Extended Flash Suppressor is pinned and welded to reach the NFA required 16 inch minimum, so the SLW is a standard Title I rifle with no tax stamp needed. It still transfers through a licensed FFL like any rifle.
Q: How light is the SLW really?
A: 5.9 lbs bare, which makes it one of the lightest rifles in the DDM4 line, and 31 1/2″ to 34 3/4″ overall with the muzzle device depending on stock position. The Lightweight profile barrel and MFR 13.5 handguard are where the savings come from.
Q: What is the trade-off with a Lightweight profile barrel?
A: Less weight in the hands and faster handling, but a thinner barrel heats up sooner than a Government or heavy profile and will shift point of impact during long strings. For patrol, defensive and general use that is rarely a limitation.
Q: Which magazine should I pair with it?
A: Anything that fits the standard V7 SLW fits this part number, since the magazine well is unchanged.
Q: Can I transfer it through my own dealer?
A: Yes. This is a rifle, so it has to go to a licensed FFL, and we are happy to ship to the dealer you prefer, or transfer it here.
