The Daniel Defense DDPCC is a short, maneuverable 9mm pistol-caliber carbine built for shooters who want rifle accuracy without full-size AR-15 length. This 8.3″ Cold Hammer Forged, threaded barrel fires 9mm Luger with smooth, controllable recoil thanks to a hydraulic buffer system.

At 6.1 pounds and 22.5″ collapsed, it’s one of the most compact centerfire long guns Daniel Defense makes. The upper and lower receivers are physically shorter than a standard AR-15, so it handles tight spaces and vehicle storage with ease.

Like every Daniel Defense firearm, the DDPCC is hand-assembled, quality-assured, and test-fired before it ships. The free-float DD4 7.0 M-LOK rail runs a continuous top Picatinny section for red dots and optics. It feeds CZ Scorpion-pattern magazines—not Glock-pattern—and ships with one 35-round Magpul PMAG 35 EV9.

This rifle is configured with a barrel under 16 inches and a fixed shoulder stock, which makes it a Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR) under the National Firearms Act (NFA) — a Title II firearm. As of January 1, 2026, the federal making/transfer tax on SBRs was reduced to $0 under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act — and since October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, Form 1, fingerprints, photos or registration either. It transfers on a standard Form 4473 with a NICS background check. The rifle must be transferred through Western Sport’s SOT/Class 3 process to a licensed dealer in the buyer’s state, and some states restrict or prohibit SBR ownership outright.
