Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What ammunition performs best in the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber on this rifle?
A: Match-grade factory rounds like Hornady ELD Match or Federal Gold Medal work excellently. Additionally, many precision shooters reload custom loads for tuned velocity and accuracy. A 26-inch barrel maximizes velocity potential across the 6.5 Creedmoor spectrum.
Q: What optics and accessories mount directly to this rifle?
A: The MDT ESS chassis integrates Picatinny rails for standard scope mounting systems. Furthermore, AICS-pattern magazines from major manufacturers fit without modification. The platform also accepts standard bipods and rail-mounted accessories seamlessly.
Q: How does this DELTA 5 PRO compare to the Coyote Tan variant?
A: Both configurations share identical mechanical specs and 26-inch barrel performance. The difference is purely cosmetic: Olive Drab versus Coyote Tan finish. Choose based on your preferred aesthetic or operational environment match.
Q: What comes in the box, and does this rifle include a warranty?
A: Each rifle ships with a factory test target and basic documentation included. Moreover, Daniel Defense stands behind all firearms with comprehensive manufacturer warranty coverage. Contact Western Sport for specific warranty terms and registration details.
Q: What is the M-LOK handguard on this rifle?
A: Daniel Defense’s free-float M-LOK handguard lets you attach lights, lasers, and grips directly to the rail using the M-LOK slot system — no separate rail sections required. Additionally, the handguard floats independently of the barrel, so attachments don’t shift your zero. A continuous top rail provides a stable mounting surface for optics.
