Product Description

The Daniel Defense Offset Scout Light Mount, M-LOK is a 0.7 oz, 6061-T6 aluminum offset mount that secures a SureFire Scout Light to an M-LOK handguard, and it is fully reversible so it can be run on either side of the rifle.

A weapon light has to go somewhere that does not fight your support hand. Mounted straight on the bottom or the side, a Scout Light body ends up under the web of the hand or hard against a barricade. An offset mount moves it off the centreline into the space between, so the hand keeps its grip and the light keeps its line.

Fitment is straightforward on both ends. The mount interface is M-LOK, compatible with M-LOK handguards such as the Daniel Defense MFR Rail. The light side is cut for a specific set of SureFire Scout Light bodies: the M300 Mini, the M600 Ultra, the M600P Fury, the M300V Mini and the M600V.

Where to put the light

Decide the switch first. With a tape switch on the handguard, the light usually wants to sit forward of your support hand so the pad falls under the thumb; if you thumb a tailcap, the light body has to be within reach without breaking grip. Because the mount is reversible, pick the side first and the slot second. Browse our sights, lasers and lights for the light itself, rail and handguard accessories for what shares those slots, and weapon accessories for the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which lights does this mount accept?

A: It accommodates the SureFire M300 Mini Scout Light, M600 Ultra Scout Light, M600P Fury Scout Light, M300V Mini Scout Light and M600V Scout Light. If your light is a Scout Light body outside that list, or another brand entirely, call 817-393-4000 before ordering.

Q: Will it fit my M-LOK handguard?

A: It is compatible with M-LOK handguards, including the Daniel Defense MFR Rail, so a handguard with true M-LOK slots is the requirement. Unlike some Daniel Defense accessories that are tied to one specific rail, this mount is specified for M-LOK handguards generally.

Q: Why an offset mount rather than a straight one?

A: An offset mount puts the light body off the centreline at roughly a clock position, which keeps it out of the way of your support hand and a barricade while still pointing where the muzzle points. It also keeps the light out from under a bipod or a hand stop.

Q: Can I run it on the left side instead of the right?

A: Yes – the mount is fully reversible for ambidextrous use, so the same part serves a right-handed or a left-handed shooter, or moves sides when you rearrange your handguard. That matters when the switch has to fall under the thumb you actually shoot with.

Q: How much weight and bulk does it add?

A: 0.7 oz, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat black anodizing. The design is low-profile and snag-free, which on a weapon light mount means it keeps the light tight to the handguard instead of standing it out where slings, gear and door frames find it.

Q: Does it position the light for a tape switch or a tailcap?

A: The mount’s job is to hold the light body securely in a low-profile offset position; how you actuate the light depends on the tailcap or remote switch you fit to it. Tell us your switch arrangement on 817-393-4000 and we will talk through placement on your handguard.
