Diamondback Firearms DB15 Obsi is a semi-auto 5.56 NATO rifle with a 16″ 4150 chrome moly barrel. It runs on a direct impingement system with a carbine gas system. Overall length is 33″, and the barrel has a 1:8″ twist rate. It holds 30+1 rounds and uses a polymer AR-style magazine.
What sets it apart
The Brown Cerakote finish gives this rifle a look you don’t see on a typical black AR. It wears a MagPul CTR stock and a MagPul MOE K2 grip. The barrel is threaded and finished with an Obsidian muzzle device. You also get a forward assist, a dust cover, and a manual safety. The A3 flattop upper accepts an optic mount.
This rifle has no sights, so plan to add your own. A red dot or a low-power scope on the flattop is a common choice. Backup iron sights, a sling, and extra 30-round AR magazines round out the setup. Because the barrel is threaded, you can swap in a different muzzle device. Check the thread specification with the manufacturer before you buy one.
It fits a shooter who wants a ready-to-customize 5.56 carbine for the range, home defense, or a first build-out project.
