The DPMS DR15 is a semi-auto AR-style rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 16" chrome moly vanadium barrel. It suits shooters who want a direct impingement rifle with a free-float M-LOK handguard and no sights, so they can mount their own.

The DPMS DR15 is a semi-auto rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 16″ chrome moly vanadium barrel. It uses a direct impingement system with a carbine-length gas system and an internal hammer firing system. The finish is black.
The barrel has a 1:8″ twist and a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle. An A2 flash hider is fitted now, and the threads let you swap in another muzzle device later. A DPMS 13.5 M-LOK free-float rail covers the barrel, so you can add a light, a sling mount or a grip without much fuss. The trigger is a Panther polished unit. The rifle has a B5 Bravo stock and a B5 Premium grip, and overall length is 32″.
Who it suits
This rifle fits someone who wants a plain, usable AR to build on. It has no sights, so plan on adding an optic or a set of iron sights. That is a good fit for a shooter who already knows what sight setup they want.
Good pairings include a red dot or low-power variable optic, a set of backup sights, a two-point sling and extra polymer AR magazines. The rifle holds 30+1 rounds and one polymer magazine is listed with it. A manual safety is built in. Add a weapon light or vertical grip to the M-LOK rail if you want them.
