Hornady ELD-X .300 RCM 178 gr Ammo, 20 Rounds

Product Description

Hornady ELD-X .300 RCM 178 gr ammo is a box of 20 rifle cartridges with a muzzle velocity of 2900 fps. The bullet type is ELD-X, and it weighs 178 gr. Hornady lists this load under part number 82224.

Two numbers define this load: the 178 gr bullet weight and the 2900 fps muzzle velocity. The bullet type is ELD-X, so you can match it by name when you compare it with other loads you have shot or plan to shoot. The cartridge is .300 RCM, and it will only work in a rifle chambered for that caliber.

Who it suits

This ammo suits rifle owners who already shoot a .300 RCM. It is a good fit if you want a single 178 gr load for load testing at the bench, sighting in, or practicing at distance. Check the chamber marking on your barrel before you order. If it does not read .300 RCM, this is not the right ammo for that rifle.

Plan your gear around the rifle. A good scope, a sturdy bipod, a sling, and a padded rifle case are the usual pairings. A cleaning kit, a range bag, and hearing protection round out a day at the range. Twenty rounds per box makes it easy to count your shots and keep notes on how the rifle groups with this load.
