The Kershaw Lateral 1645 is an assisted-opening folding knife with a 3.1″ drop point blade. The blade is 8Cr13MoV steel with a stonewash finish and a plain edge. It is 0.11″ thick, and the edge profile has a recurve.
Opening is handled by SpeedSafe assist. You press the flipper, and the blade swings out the rest of the way. A liner lock holds it open while you work. Jimping on the blade gives your thumb a place to grip. The handle is gray glass filled nylon, and the whole knife weighs 3.2 oz.
