The MDT Scope Tube Mount is a black, matte-finish mount that fits 35MM scopes. It clamps to the scope tube itself instead of sitting on your rings or rail.

That is the main difference. A level mounted to the tube moves with the optic, not with the rings or the rail. If you swap a mount or move the scope to a new rifle, you do not have to level everything again from scratch.

Built for one tube size

The ring is machined for one specific tube diameter, which here is 35MM. That lets it clamp down tight with no play. Once it is torqued, nothing shifts. The two-piece ring clamp goes around the tube, and the V-mount gives you multiple locations to set it up the way you want. A V-mount to Picatinny adapter is part of the design, so it works with Picatinny rail setups.
