How does the Switchblock gas system work?

The Switchblock is a two-position gas block installed at the barrel’s gas port. Position 1 (standard): full gas to the bolt carrier group. Position 2 (suppressed): reduced gas volume, compensating for the increased backpressure from a suppressor. This prevents the over-gassing problem — excessive bolt velocity, increased fouling, and accelerated wear — that affects standard AR-15s when running suppressed. The Switchblock is tool-free and takes about one second to switch.
